Todays post comes to you from a field next to an AGI in Essex, why you ask? well I have started what will probably be a 6 month stint on a project so that mean leaving home on a Monday morning and living in a hotel for 4 night before travling back on a Friday, the M25 and M4 will become my friends. Site working does have its perks I mean for the first couple of weeks I am enjoying the luxury my car being my office, tea room and rain shelter and I do get to wear a very fine selection of fluorescent clothing.
As I said I am working in Essex, although I am not sure the map is correct, I have not seen a single pair of white Stilettos or a Escort and I am not sure the hotel bar even sells Malibu(never trust a stereotype)
I have to say the start of jobs like this one always kill me, it the mobilisation stage when there is no offices a skeleton crew and most of the day is spent watching a machine drive back and forth over a stoned area to compact.
Still on the plus side I have managed to read one book and although I hate being away from home and my family it will give me time to plan posts and if I am lucky draft some out.
All being well this will mean I will start to push out some regular content over the next couple of weeks.
