@username is to busy to write a message, scouting is only 2 hours a week honest
–ooo—
This is going to be a two-part post the first will raise the question the second I will give you my thoughts.
I was pondering the other day if there is a use for social media in scouting, or if it just adults playing around telling other adults that they are sooooo busy, they do soooo much more that two hours a week.
I wrote an article some time ago about social media called A Scout is to be Trusted looking at the age restrictions on social media. This time I am looking more at the overall use, a factor will be the age restrictions but not my main focus.
So I ask you all a question
Do you see a place for Social media in Scouting?
I am talking the full gambit blogs, forums, twitter, Facebook, YouTube, podcast everything
use the comments below to let me know your thoughts below and how you use social media as a member of scouting.

Nice to catch up again, hope all the Meadows are happy and well.
I can see social media being a double edged sword, the good and the bad. What will probably annoy me most though is everything rolled out on social media and it doesn’t reach the majority. Most Scouters I know barely use email let alone social media, so it’s going to take another 10-15 years before it fully catches on with everyone. Plus I can see TSA primarily just using social media for spreading HQ news or using it try and flog us stuff.
