Ok so the Summer is hopefully on it way and a large number of adventures will be had by all. It is also the time of year when the Birthday of this blogger comes around so I have been looking over Amazon and I have selected a number of products that could be added to a summer camp shopping list.

I wish I could do the every morning

It made me think that we as Scout leader deliver Micro adventures on a week in week out basis to the young people in our Pack/Troops/Units it could be as simple as cooking bread twists on a fire or more formidable weekend survival camp each one to those young people is an adventure.

In the year 2012 , the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in England and said, “Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans.”

As you may have already heard, the Executive Council of the Boy Scouts of America released their proposed policy today, which keeps the gay ban in place for adult leaders but would prohibit kicking out openly gay Scout youth members “on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone [emphasis added]”.

It disappoints me that often we as members of the UK scouting are so quick to judge other organisations based on snippets of information that comes out through social media outlets. It really get under my skin when those judgement in particular focus on the delivery of programme for young people.
I have gathered some scouting friend to create a discussion foursome to compare and contrast different elements of our Scouting programmes.

I was recently asked for some advice for speaking infront of people at an AGM, my first thought was to say Picture them Naked. However when I actually thought about that statement and I a not really sure if that would work. I think if I was in a room full of naked people I would start to feel rather self conscious and some uneasy.
