It is so woody and gnarly

Today photo Thursday is an old tree in Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust site. It is just up the road from us and we go there of a sunday for a walk, to feed the birds and for a play in Welly Boot land

I am not sure why but gnarly trees and the shapes they make always interest me and I do like to take photos of them.

Todays Thursday Picture is something I got in the mail the other day. Some of you may remember I offered a $50 iTunes card up for swaps and Doug made me the only offer so Doug got the iTunes card and I got two badges and the offer of a pint next time I am in Kenilworth NJ, sounded like a good deal to me.

Well the badges arrived the other day and here they are.

Maybe if we are lucky Doug will tell us what he bought with his $50 in the comments I am guessing he is a secret Justin Beiber fan.

Todays photo thursday is the Amaryllis which has just opened this morning. there are two things about Amaryllis that make me smile

They always look like the triffids from the movie the day of the triffids
When I think Amaryllis I always sing “Show me the way to Amaryllis” don’t ask I am a bit special.

I am really gutted that I did not take a photo a day of the Amaryllis and then build a stop motion of if growing a flowering but I did not think about it until I walked downstairs this morning and saw it had opened.

This weeks photo thursday is a photo montage build showing one weekend of building to provide a birthday girl with a play house for here 3rd birthday.

Allot of thanks should go to Grumpy TOM and Grampa Will without them I think I would only have been up to about the second picture in the montage above.

Thankfully with help from all the open ceremony took place and the birthday girl cut the ribbon <my timing sucked and I missed the cutting>

its March and I have not found a single Daff anywhere

So as it is the 1st March and therefore St Davids Day I wanted to make this picture ne of daffodils. I have looked everywhere for open flowers or any sort of flowers but I have not been able to.

I still think it is required to have daffodils on St Davids Day so I have cheated thanks you Internet.
