Drought forces hosepipe ban

Tis a bit wet out there
I am not sure about where you are, but in my part of the country there is not a hosepipe ban yet. However the weather following the hosepipe ban is causing all sorts of havoc for my poor veg plot.
Enjoy the weather.

Aargh! Quick get out there with a fork, stick it in deep and drain the water away or else it’ll soon be rotting your veg roots. Peas are looking good though. Have you grown all this from scratch? We don’t have hosepipe bans in Wales, hosepipes are for wimps.
Ben
Went out to do the forking job the next morning and the water had drained away, neighbours told us there use to be a well there years ago.
Why the owner before us put a veg plot where a well was not sure.
Yes peas and beans were grown from scratch, there are pumpkins and squash to be put in on our return from holidays. Toms and cucumber in the green house.
Hoping we get a good crop of everything.
