2010 A Review

Hello Dear Reader

May I first wish you a very Happy New Year.

I thought I would give you a round-up of the 2010 as best as I could however after many attempts at trying to be funny and finding a new and witty way to tell you what I did last year, I failed miserably

So here is a plain boring version, the Main Highlights were:-

January – Re-Launched Blog
February – Review the Book Complete Guide to Scouting Skills
March – Ran Competition for Complete Guide To Scouting Skills
April – Reviewed blog and decided to focus more on Scouting
May – Tried Videoblog and Failed (may try again)
July – Took a group of Explorers to Germany to Hike along the E1 Route
September – Went to Italy and Ben (atomicapple or CilBen) came on board to help with some posting.
October – Email Interview with UKCC
November – Work got busy and in the Way
December – when to Libya with work.

Election 2010 – Useful Tool

Hello Dear Reader.

I am not really a political person and I honestly believe that all politicians are as crooked as the next. However I do believe that the right to vote is very important, therefore I will always try and exercise that right when ever I get the opportunity.

The question still remains however who to vote for. People will say until we get proportional representation it is a waste vote and I do agree but that is for a different argument.

I would like to put two things to you

The first is a tool which a colleague passed to me

The idea is you answer the question truthfully, as adults this will be difficult because you will know in your mind that one statement or the other relates to a particular party. However put that aside and answer the question you might be suppriesd by the outcome.

If anyone is running election discussion with Explorers this will be a very useful tool

Tool 1

Tool 2

I gave tried tool 1 but no tool 2 yet and even at 33 I was plesently supprised with the outcome.

Lastly this year should be the year of the free vote, I know so many people who say “Oh I would vote Green/UKIP other Minor Party but I am going to vote for Major X so Major Y does not get in” if all those people vote that way then who know what would happen. In my view it is very likely that it will be a hung parliament at this vote and it will be down to the Lib Dem to side with one or other of the other two major parties to create a government so lets give the little party a voice.

Ok that is enough
