To Busy

Hello Dear Reader

I have been some what neglecting my blog of late and there are a number of reasons for that.

Reason 1 – I am rather busy at work

Ok this is a rubbish reason I hear you say, fancy working for a living. However unfortunately someone has to pay the bills and untill that lottery win comes in it will be me.

Reason 2 – I seem to have taken on a lot of scouting projects

This one kind of caught me by surprise and it was not till I looked back on things I realised quite how many.

1) Unit Leader for County International Expedition to Germany

2) County Lead for the Avon Scouts Adventure Challenge – and adventure race style event

3) County Lead for the Avon Scouts Camper Award – a camping award similar to the Zodiac award in Scotland and the Dragon award in Wales

4) County Lead for the Avon Scout Winter Challenge – an overnight hike event.

5) all the other roles as defined by the ACC ES role.

That does not seem a lot but they all seem to be on a critical path which looks as though they could collide in a huge mess.

Reason 3 – I have been learing about video editing

BlueTed recently posted a video Here of which the sound quality was rather dubious however I am almost done editing it such that the sound quality will be much better.

Reason 4 – The Blueted thing has given me an Idea

[pullquote]I am toying with the idea of using both video blogging (Vlogging) and traditional text blogging[/pullquote] I am toying with the idea of using both video blogging (Vlogging) and traditional text blogging and will post in either format, Vlogging involves script writing and thus by default not blog post writing. Nothing confirmed yet but watch this space.

Reason 5 – Training Month

Cubmaster Chris over at PTC Media has declared May Training Month and I am currently writing a blog post on Training in the UK and it is more of an Essay or as Stephen Fry calls them Blessy.

Reason 6 – Re Design

I am currently looking at having a bit of a redesign of Jabbering all day long and I am not sure whether to go more Magazine style or More simple. However you will be the first to know when I decide.

Well I think that should bring you all up to date back to the grind stone now

Change of Traveling Companion

Hello Dear Reader

As some of you may be aware, I have a traveling companion called Blueted. He has traveled round the world with me from the Far East to America and up and down the UK on scout camps sleep overs etc.

Blueted

Well Blueted is 33 years old, has cataracts in both eyes and the other weekend we had a long discussion. It was decided that it was in the best interest of his health that he should take a break from traveling. It was a very sad time; however it is hoped that if he takes a break from the day to day events it will give him the strength to attend the big events.

However Blueted has agreed to pass on his 33 years of traveling knowledge to a new younger more energetic young companion, who will travel with me on a day to day basis.

Spottywott will never replace Blueted merely take on the role of a stunt double so to speak.

SpottyWot

Spottywot is a small blue spotty alien Blueted trusts and hopes will make a good traveling companion for me.

Friends Together

I will be posting some of the details of our adventures here and I will be posting any photos on flickr to feel free to view us over there.

Kiff & Spotty 02

I hope you will joing me in wishing Blueted a restful break keeping and eye on my daughter Izzy.
